Salt of the Earth

A Word from the WORD…

Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men.   Matt.5:13

I’ve noticed that in this dispensation, a lot of people are refusing to let go of who they are.  Let me explain.  If you take a look around you, you’ll notice more and more people working with tattoos, earrings, funky hairdos, and various other eccentricities.  Folks aren’t willing to give up their unique qualities for the sake of conformity; they refuse to give up their flavor.  Sadly enough, it seems like this is just the opposite for the saints of GOD.  We find ourselves willingly giving up that in which is supposed to make us different for the sake of fitting in, remaining comfortable, and avoiding persecution.  What is it that those who are unwilling to cut their dreads and cover their body art to get a better job in corporate America have that the saints of GOD don’t?  Nothing.  That same ‘I know who I am’ attitude is the one that CHRISTians should be wielding in this day and time.  As a saint of GOD, you are the salt of the earth, but when you let go of your flavor, when you willing give up your distinction through living GODly, then the title of child of GOD and the giftings within you are good for nothing, your life will lack direction towards purpose, and the devil will walk all over you.  Know who you are and keep your flavor, because it’s that flavor that sets you apart and causes you to be approved and accepted of GOD.  The earth needs your flavor!  Stand up and stand out for the LORD JESUS!  GOD bless!
